What happens if I have to cancel my stay?
If you cancel your stay more than 4 weeks before your booking you will be offered an opportunity to rebook alternative dates or receive a refund less a 10% admin fee.
If you cancel within 4 weeks of your stay we will try and rebook those dates. If it is rebooked you will be refunded in full less a 10% admin charge. If we are unable to book those dates we are unable to refund you.
Can I book short stays in the summer holidays?
We try and book full weeks for the summer, but there may be some flexibility if we have any late unbooked dates available.
Is firewood provided?
Yes, all yurts have a basket of logs, kindling and parrafin free firelighters. Extra firewood can be ordered in advance or when you are here.
What bedding/bedlinen is provided?
We provide bedlinen, duvet, and four pillows for the main bed in each yurt. The linen is hotel quality Egyptian cotton. If you would also like linen and duvets for the futons they can be ordered online when you book. Doubles are £20 and singles are £14. If you would like to bring your own bedding for the futons that is also fine.
Are towels provided?
Bath towels are not included but If you would like to book a set, they can be ordered online when you book for £6 per set. There is a hand towel and a tea towel in each yurt.
When can I check in?
Earliest check in is from 4pm and the latest is 10pm
What time is check out?
Please leave the yurt as you found it and check out by 10am
Is there a minimum length stay?
Yes. The minimum stay is two nights. Monday - Wednesday or Wednesday - Friday. (excluding summer holidays which are mostly week stays but contact us for more info).
Can I only check in on a Friday, Monday or Wednesday?
On the whole - yes - however depending on the time of year we may be able to offer some flexibility around this. Email us at timhutton@yurtworks.co.uk.
What cooking facilities are there?
There is a two hob gas cooker and simple grill in each yurt. There is also a barbecue for each yurt and an open fire. You will need to bring your own charcoal for the barbecue.
How do I keep food and drink cold?
There is a shared fridge in the kitchen and a freezer full of ice packs for use in the cool boxes provided with each yurt.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes well behaved dogs are welcome. There is a two dog maximum for each yurt. Please bring towels and bedding etc for your dog and ensure they do not climb on the beds or furniture. We are a working farm so please keep your dog under control at all times. There is a £5 per night surcharge per dog per night which you can pay when you book online.
Are there good walks nearby?
There are plenty of walks nearby without needing to drive.
Is there a pub and shop nearby?
Both the pub and the shop are a 10 minute walk away. The pub is child and dog friendly.
What's the access like?
The track down to the car park is a hard surface but is uneven in places and not tarmacked. Cars and vans are fine but there is alternative parking for sports cars or any vehicle that is very low to the ground. Please contact us if you have any concerns.
How do I book a Sauna session?
You can book a sauna session when you book your stay online or you can book when you arrive. Each hourly session is £25 for up to four people.
How far are the yurts from the Car Park?
The Oak Wood Yurt is about 60 metres from the car park. The Ash Field Yurt is about 100 Metres and the Green Man Yurt about 140 metres. There are wheelbarrows available to carry your stuff.
